In the changing world of veterinary medicine, efficient clinic management has become a necessity.
Today we explore the innovative perspective of Maria Vitoria and its approach to preventive medicine, health plans and equipment.
Maria is a veterinarian and also responsible for the management of the Veterinary Clinic Sedaví and Secretary of the Official College of Veterinarians of Valencia.
What are the remnants of veterinary management?
Veterinary practice management faces unique challenges, including, among others, a shortage of qualified staff and the need to balance high quality care with administrative efficiency. It is a constantly evolving arena, requiring leadership, continuous analysis and innovative practices.
🙂 Continuing with our section We talk about Managementwhere we interviewed veterinary managers with experience in different areas, we asked María Vitoria for her free vision of her success in the management of her center.
Maria highlights four essential aspects: a clear role structure, recognition of effort, encouragement of professional development, and working conditions that value both time and financial effort.
✅ These are Maria Vitoria's key points summarized in outline form:
- Detailed job description: Provides safety and efficiency to the team.
- Recognition of effort and leadership: Empathy and teamwork are fundamental to handle stress and improve management.
- Professional development: Motivates the team through continuous improvement, including clinical and soft skills.
- Optimal working conditions: Through economic recognition and family reconciliation.
We highlight this quote from Maria: A focus on prevention and wellness not only benefits the patients but also the team. Vitoria stresses that a healthy and happy work environment is essential for long-term success. 🍀
And what about the lack of qualified personnel?
Staff shortages are a significant challenge. Vitoria suggests that creating a positive work environment and focusing on prevention and team wellness are key to attracting and retaining talent, although he doesn't really like the concept of retention... "the worker should be where he wants to be, and you have to work to make him enjoy his profession every day."
➡️ Conclusion:
Maria Vitoria's ideas offer a path to more efficient and humane management in veterinary clinics. Her focus on clear organizational structure and the need to put the focus on the team are valuable lessons for any leader in the industry.

Thank you Maria for explaining so clearly these four points. I have always thought that the challenge of our generation is to achieve that fourth point, good working conditions.
For that the most difficult thing is to leave behind some beliefs that those who are not willing to do what we have done are useless...to move forward and improve we have to look for a different formula than the one we have had so far. Nice to see you and listen to you Maria
Thank you very much for your comment Marisol 🙂
